Be Lenka Prime – barefoot sneaker with stylish and timeless design is a classic staple in a wardrobe of any barefoot enthusiast with wide feet. Your eyes will admire them and your feet will adore them. A shoe that would be a shame to miss.
Imagine combining the lightest pink color with one of the widest barefoot sneakers on the market. The new soft pink color of the Be Lenka Prime model is definitely special and perfect choice for me. It fits the shoe nicely and adds a gentle, feminine touch to it.

2. Material characteristics
2.1 Upper
Be Lenka Prime sneakers have a very classic design. They don’t have many accessories, but they know how to enchant with colors. The shoes are made of smooth leather and are available in 7 different colors. You can choose from basic colors like black or white, or go for more vivid colors like red and yellow.
I was attracted by this year’s brand new light pink color. The color is so softly pink that it was hard to photograph it and show her tenderness. It is perfect for those who want bright shoes for warmer days, but not completely white.

The flat cotton laces are white and they match the white color of the sole nicely. The laces are not too long, but the shorter length of the laces fits the shoe well.

In the heel, the sole is slightly curved upwards, which contributes to additional protection and greater durability. The heel holds its shape nicely and does not restrict the foot during movement.

2.2 Lining
The shoes are lined with leather, in the toe area textile is used. The leather is slightly rough to the touch, but comfortable on the foot. The insole is not removable.

2.3 Sole
The Prime model uses the same TPU sole as the other Be Lenka models (Icon, Champ, etc.). The sole is 4 mm thick. Thin but firm.
The shoe gives you a decent ground feeling, but due to the firmer sole, the feeling is not as intense as with some softer soles of other brands.

The shoe can be easily rolled into a roll using one hand. It is also nicely flexible in the longitudinal direction.

Also check my video for the close-up and to see how they look on my feet.
3. Sizing information
3.1 Length
Prime unisex sneakers are available in sizes 33 to 47. Light pink is available up to size 43 and some colors are only available from size 36 onwards. The size chart is true to size and gives you the inner length and width of the shoe according to the last measurements.
My foot is 26.3 cm long and I wear a size 42 in the Prime model. The shoes are 9mm longer than my foot. Due to the very generous toebox part, I have enough space in the shoe to move if I wear them barefoot or with thin socks, despite the fact that I have less than 12 mm of space in the shoe.
See post How much space do we need in shoes if you want to know more about that.
3.2. Toebox shape & width
Like all Be Lenka shoes, the Prime has a toebox shape with a stronger slope towards the little toe. The shape is best suited for foot types 1 and 2. For foot types 4 and 5, longer third toe can touch the end of the shoe, so it is important to choose enough space in front of the toes. For foot types 3 and 6 shoes are not ideal shapes.
The line at the big toe is straight or even curved slightly away from the midline, making room for the big toe particularly generous.

More about different foot types you can read in post What is my Foot Type?
The Prime model is one of the widest Be Lenka models and is a shoe suitable for wide feet. It’s a feels slightly narrower than the Champ model which I reviewed here, but still very roomy. With my 10 cm wide feet, I have a lot of space in width, but this extra width doesn’t bother me when walking. In fact, I just enjoy having so much room in my shoe.

The shoes also have enough space above the toes. They are not as spacious as the Champ model, but there is still plenty of space and enough for most feet.
Shoes also have more space over the ball of the foot, such as e.g. Icon model, but people with very big volume at the front part of the foot may experience a snug fit. My feet don’t fill the shoe completely in this part, so while walking I notice a slight creasing in the point where the laces start.

3.3. Fit around the instep, heel and ankle
The shoes can be very nicely fixed to different heights of the instep and foot volumes. If you have high volume foot volume or higher instep, the laces may be a little short, but they can still be tied.

4. Comfort
Brand new shoes can be a little less comfortable around the ankles at first if worn barefoot. I recommend that you use thin socks or tights for the first few days in your shoes. In this case, they will not cause you any problems.
When the area at the ankle softens, you will be able to wear them barefoot too and enjoy the comfort of the shoe.

5. How and when to wear them?
Prime sneakers are a very universal piece of footwear and can be combined with many different clothes. The variety of colors of the model increases the possibilities of styling and pleasing different tastes and styles.
I prefer pairing them with jeans (cuffed to show some ankles) or trousers and a blouse T-shirt for a semi-formal look.

6. Price & where to buy
You can buy Be Lenka Prime at their official website, but you can also find them at different retailers. A lot of them can be found on my list here.
My readers from US/Canada can buy they at PedTerra (10% off on your first order at PedTerra with BOSENOGICE)

7. Shipping info
Be Lenka ships worldwide and the shipping time is really fast. Shipping costs depend on the shipping country and the shipping is free of charge for EU countries. They offer free returns for selected EU countries.
8. To sum up
I can only say that Prime are wonderful sneakers for wide feet. The soft pink color is what originally convinced me to buy them, but I feel great in them, I wear them with the greatest pleasure and I really enjoy so much space in my shoe. The shoes are fantastic and one of my favorite discoveries this spring.
